Watchpoint Logistics, Inc Named One of the Healthiest Employers of the Bay Area!

Here at Watchpoint Logistics, we are proud to announce that through our hard work and dedication we have been recognized in the Bay Area’s Healthiest Employer Award!

We have come a long way in the past few years, and although we’ve gone through many large transitions in the midst of a global pandemic, our commitment to being a world class employer and providing our team members with tools and resources for their well-being has remained strong.

We have implemented several initiatives over the past few years ranging from bringing fresh fruit into the office, providing a Bevi machine with still or sparkling water and fresh fruit flavors as an alternative to sugary drinks or sodas, providing fitbits to team members and implementing various components of a wellness program.

Two years ago we began to implement a more official wellness programthrough a partnership with the Wellness Coach App and our Human Resources Coordinator, Hana Bellin. Hana has helped bring our wellness program to life with her nutrition and holistic health coaching background and has utilized the app to create fun, informative, and engaging challenges and activities to empower team members on their wellness journey.

As our program has continued to develop we’ve connected and built stronger bonds through a variety of activities ranging from step challenges, meditations, intentions and goals setting, financial wellness, healthy sleep cycles, community outreach, a weekly wellness wednesday newsletter, and live wellness workshops on nutrition and hydration.

Here’s some highlights of what of our team members have said about the program:

“Watchpoint has always promoted and supported wellness. I love all the challenges, meditation sessions and individual coaching of the Wellness Coach app. It's a great tool to have and I'm grateful to Watchpoint for the app. Also, the team building activities like build a bike, beach clean up and Friday lunches contributed so much in building camaraderie and connection with our co-workers who are now more like family. I feel that I don't go to work. It's more like being with family and it is fun!” - Maria Ascucion

“I joined the step challenge and it is amazingly motivational for sure! It encourages me to step outside and walk, enjoy the weather, but most importantly, to set my own goals for a healthier self. Thank you Watchpoint for providing such resources to benefit our lives!” - Rosa Ocon

“Wellness Wednesdays have been beneficial and informative.” - David Dahbour

“I enjoy the Wellness App. It gives me a resource to turn to when needing a little boost. It's kept me accountable especially during the challenges.” - Angelica Ford

“In the past, I was big on environmental improvement and helping those in need but I haven’t done much in the past few years. Participating in the build a bike program and beach clean up reminded me of how it felt to help my community and environment.” - Leonard Perez

“I love seeing all the positive things that the company does with the community. Also the fun wellness challenges, bonding events and Friday lunches. It makes for a wonderful work environment. Even though I've only worked here a short time. I feel like part of the family.” - Michelle Engbrock

“The wellness program has been great for employee morale. The step challenge has made me be more active by making me aware of how many steps I'm taking per day.” - Eduardo Radillo

This awards program was created to honor people-first organizations that prioritize

the well-being of their team members. We were recognized as a Healthiest Employer because of our commitment to workplace wellness and our exceptional health and benefits offerings. We’ve had to adapt our workforce to reflect the ever-changing views of the modern American office. Increased flexibility, work-life balance, and mental health resources have proven to be common trends among Healthiest Employers honorees. Award applicants were evaluated across six key categories: Culture and Leadership, Foundational Components, Strategic Planning, Communication and Marketing, Programming and Interventions, and Reporting and Analytics. Completed assessments were ranked with the proprietary Healthiest Employers® Index, a 1-100 rubric for wellness programming.

We are so grateful for how far we’ve come to have been recognized with this award and look forward to continuing to develop and improve with each year. This is just the beginning!
